Barbara

She comes from a Latin background so music was always on at home and she always danced for fun. Barby began her dance training at 8 years old in New York.  It wasn't until she was in her early twenties she took her first bellydance class from Dreams Bellydance - she danced with Nathalie for about a year. A few years later she saw Tiffany Bisconer on a bellydance video and danced with her company for 2 years. She continued her practice and later saw Masala Fusion at the Florida Renaissance Festival. She later took classes from Bryanna. Since then she was welcomed to be part of Masala, she has preformed in different showcases with the group.
Simultaneously she started to practice yoga in 2011. She completed 200 RTY (Yoga teacher training) to complement her dance experience. Dance and yoga are a part of her core being, she wishes to spread the joy that they bring her to others.

Bryanna

Around the age of 8, Bryanna discovered percussion and has since studied and performed with some of the greatest drummers in the world, including 'Sultan of Swing' Hossam Ramzy, Richie Flores, Bobby Ameen, Joe Zeytoonian and Myriam Eli, to name a few. These performances have taken her to many exciting places like New York, London, and Puerto Rico.

Bryanna, who also goes by the name Kikakapu, or "Kika," is a senior member of the MeduSirena Aquticat Pod, an aquatic performance group specializing in underwater mermaid and pearl dive shows. Making their home at the Wreck Bar at the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel, the Aquaticats can be seen all over South Florida, as well as as far across the globe as Macau.

Erin

Erin began her dance training at 7 years old taking the classic lineup: ballet, tap, and jazz.  She then included modern/lyrical and pointe to her repetoire as well as Tae Kwon Do.  At the age of 15 she sustained an injury that prevented her from continuing her studies in pointe; looking for another dance style to keep her core strong she began taking Middle Eastern Dance and immediately fell in love with the power, history and technique of this art form.  She has studied with Patricia Cummings, Myriam Eli, Alicia of Bellycraft, Luna of Muse Fusion, and taken many workshops and intensives with some of the biggest names in the Bellydance community.  She co-founded Masala Fusion with Bryanna in 2007 and can be seen locally at the Florida Renaissance Festival, local and national showcases, as well as international events.

Kristal

Kristal was born in Hialeah, Fl and grew up dancing. After knee surgery at the age of 19, she wandered into a dance studio asking for a low impact workout, and was offered a bellydance class. It only took one class for her to fall in love with the grace, style and power of belly dance, and she has been studying it ever since. Kristal has also studied various styles of belly dance, Latin dance, fire dance, hip hop, Bollywood, Bhangra, contemporary dance, and percussion. She has been a member of Masala Fusion since 2006, and is also certified to teach Bokwa Fitness, Body Works, and Aqua Fit; is licensed to teach several formats of Zumba Fitness; and is also a licensed esthetician in Florida.

Lila

Lila has been with Masala Fusion for 8 years. She really enjoys the history and movements of bellydance. In addition to bellydance, Lila is passionate about vintage style and when she is not bellydancing often participates in photoshoots capturing the glamour of the olden age or performing burlesque. She is also part of the MeduSirena and her Pod of Aquaticats and performs underwater at the historical Wreck Bar. Linz

Linz was born in south Florida and took her first dance class at the age of 3. Over the years she has enjoyed dance as a recreational activity, and was eventually introduced to belly dancing by taking "belly boot-camp" classes in 2011. She started off performing as a percussionist at the Florida Renaissance Festival in 2012, and began performing as one of the gypsy dancers at the festival in 2013. This was the same year that she officially became a part of the Masala Ensemble.

Pilar

Born and raised in diverse South Florida, Pilar has developed a love and appreciation for art in all of its forms. She started taking tap, jazz and ballet classes at age 7, but was nearly too shy to do her first recital. As the years went by she tried her hand at other styles of dance including lyrical, salsa, hula, and flamenco. In 2010 she took her first belly dance class with Bryanna and became fascinated by both the sharp isolations and serpentine movements. She began performing with Masala Fusion at the 2012 Renaissance Festival and treasures the camaraderie she has found within the group.

T-sha
Born and raised in Rochester NY, T-sha has over 20 years of dance and performance experience. She has extensive training in ballet, tap, and jazz; she has also dipped into many other dance styles such as modern, contemporary, hip-hop, salsa, bachata, merengue, ballroom, Irish, Afro-Caribbean, and of course bellydance. Upon attending her first official class with Bryanna, T-sha felt she found her niche in bellydance. Soon after she was welcomed by Masala as of 2009, opening her creative mind and bringing her dancing to an even higher level. T-sha also performs locally with Sundanz Dance Company, is Co-Captain of the Fort Lauderdale Strikers Cheerleaders and is a licensed Zumba Basic and Zumba Gold Instructor.
